On behalf of the organizing committee, I want to welcome you to the official Six Flags over Georgia 1980’s Alumni Reunion registration site.
For most of us, it’s been over 20 years since we made the walk up to the S-Lot. It’s hard to believe that so much time as passed. As far as I know, this is the first time a large scale reunion has been planned, and it is long over due. The response to the reunion has greatly exceeded our expectations. I think it proves that the tag line for the event rings true – “The best summers of our live - Revisited!”
If you have submitted an RSVP on one of the invite pages on Facebook.com, thanks. If you are not on Facebook and you did not submit an RSVP, don’t worry. By purchasing your tickets here, you are all set. I would like to encourage anyone not on it to join Facebook. You will be astounded at how quickly old friends will come streaming back into your life.
Now, on to a bit of business -
Ticket price is $50.00 per person. At the bottom of this page you will find instructions for ticket purchases. Details about your purchase, including how we will deliver your tickets to you can be found there.
You will also find a link to our host hotel, The Hampton Inn at Cumberland Atlanta NW. A room block has been set up and we believe the prices are very attractive. We want to encourage locals as well as out-of-towners to stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel has graciously offered to run a free shuttle to and from the Cobb Galleria the night of the reunion. This will give everyone a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy the evening without worrying about driving.
Now I need to ask each of you do to us a favor. Take a look at the RSVPs on the FaceBook.com invite pages and think about anyone you don’t see. If there was a reunion being planned and I didn’t know about it, I’d be crushed. I want to be sure that as many people as possible get the chance to join the party. If you can think of someone, call them, drop them an email or send up smoke signals. Let them know about this page and invite them to come. It’s taken over 20 years to get us together; I don’t want anyone to have to miss out on this.
